STREET DANCE COMPETITION

Registration

  1. How do I register for the competition?

    • Participants can register on the day of the event.

  2. Where do I register and who should I connect with? 

    • Registration is at the back stage at the registration booth. The stage is located at the back parking lot of the building 394 University Ave W, St Paul, MN 55103.

  3. Is there a registration fee?

    • No. This is a FREE participation and event.

  4. What time does registration open and close?

    • Registration starts promptly at 3PM.

Competition Format

  1. Do I need to prepare a routine?

    • While having a prepared routine is beneficial, improvisation is highly encouraged.

  2. What styles of dance are allowed?

    • All styles of dance are welcome.

Participation

  1. What is the format of the dance battle?

    • The competition is a 1v1 allstyles battle. Dancers will compete head-to-head in elimination rounds.

  2. How are the winners decided?

    • Winners are decided by our panel of esteemed judges based on performance, creativity, and technique.

Event Details

  1. When and where is the event taking place?

    • The event will be held on Saturday, June 28th, 2025 and Sunday, June 29th, 2025 in the back parking lot of building 394 University Ave W, St Paul, MN 55103.

  2. What time does the event start and end?

    • The times are tbd but the night market stages are active Saturday, June 28th at 5PM - 9PM and Sunday, June 29th at 3PM - 9PM.

Judges and Prizes

  1. Who are the judges?

    • Our judges are esteemed professionals from various states across the USA.

  2. What prizes can participants win?

    • 1st place prize: $500

Miscellaneous

  1. Is there an age limit to participate?

    • All ages are welcome to apply. There will be no separate competitions for kids and adults. Kids and adults will compete against each other.

  2. Is there a dress code or specific attire required?

    • There is no strict dress code, but we encourage comfortable and expressive attire suitable for dancing.
